[Deal Alert] Get a refurbished ASUS Chromebook Flip C100PA for $149.99 from Woot

Chromebooks are still some of the best value computers on the market, mostly thanks to Chrome OS' ability to run well even on underpowered hardware. The ASUS Chromebook Flip C100PA wasn't exactly high-end when it was released in 2015, but even in 2017 it's a decent budget computer. You can now buy one for $149.99 from Woot, a decent savings over the $190-$250 that other stores currently sell it for.

The specifications on this Chromebook aren't amazing, but that's probably what you were expecting at this price point.

Weekend poll: Do you use Android Pay?

Android Pay is adding new banks all the time, and it's even expanding its global presence slowly but surely. This week, I'm asking how many of you actually use it.

Android Pay is something that I was very skeptical on initially, going back to the days of the Google Wallet branding. Why on earth would I use my phone to pay for something when swiping my card was so easy?

Nothing says 'the future' like asking your smart speaker to buy groceries for you. While the Google Home can't drive to the store itself, it can order them through Google Express. Google previously announced that it would partner with Walmart to offer easy voice shopping through Assistant, and now it's live.

Walmart items are now listed in Google Express, and you can connect your Google account to a Walmart account to easily reorder items.

Android O feature spotlight: Default Wi-Fi hotspot SSIDs are now unique

There is a small problem you can run into when setting up a Wi-Fi hotspot in previous versions of Android. By default, the SSID is just AndroidAP, and a lot of people don't change that. So if your phone, tablet, or laptop connected to such an access point in the past, they'd try again every time they saw that Android AP SSID. But as of Android 8.0 Oreo, any devices that never ran a previous version of Android will get a unique hotspot SSID.

There is a caveat, and that is that any device which has been upgraded to O won't see this behavior by default.

There are a few rugged smartphones on the market, like the Galaxy Active series or the LG X Venture. But maybe those aren't tough enough for you. Do you need a phone that will survive "fields, underwater and other outdoor environments"? What about one that is "manly, strong, and special in market"? If so, the Doogee S60 might be for you.
